Terms and Conditions — Docloom
Effective Date: September 12, 2026 Last Updated: September 12, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Docloom (the "Service"), operated by Babar Khan, an individual ("Docloom," "we," "us," or "our"), accessible at https://docloom.babar-wealthpilot.workers.dev. By creating an account, connecting a GitHub repository, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Docloom connects to GitHub repositories via GitHub's OAuth and GitHub App infrastructure, parses source code using a deterministic AST (Abstract Syntax Tree) parser, and uses AI (via Anthropic's Claude API) to generate human-readable documentation describing the structure and behavior of that code, particularly API endpoints. Documentation is presented for your review before publication, and you retain full control over what is published.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
4. Account Registration
- Access to the Service requires authentication via GitHub OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account and any credentials associated with it.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to promptly update it if it changes.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it, except to the extent such activity results from our failure to maintain reasonable security measures.
5. Repository Access and Content
- By connecting a repository, you grant Docloom permission to read that repository's source code for the sole purpose of generating documentation.
- You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights and permissions to grant Docloom access to any repository you connect, including repositories owned by an organization or third party, and that doing so does not violate any agreement, license, or law applicable to that repository.
- You may disconnect a repository at any time, which revokes Docloom's access to it going forward.
- Docloom does not claim ownership of your source code or any intellectual property contained within it. You retain full ownership of your code and any documentation generated from it.
6. AI-Generated Content — Accuracy Disclaimer
Docloom is designed to minimize inaccuracies by using a deterministic code parser (not an AI model) to extract structural facts, and by instructing the AI component to explicitly note when a detail is "not documented in source" rather than inferring or inventing an explanation. However:
- AI-generated descriptions may still contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing all generated documentation before publishing or relying on it.
- Docloom makes no warranty that generated documentation is complete, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose, and disclaims liability for any consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated content without independent review.
7. Subscription Plans and Billing
- Docloom offers multiple subscription tiers (e.g., Free, Starter, Team), each with associated usage quotas (documentation generation requests per day) as described on our pricing page.
- Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly, unless otherwise stated) through Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record for all transactions. Your payment relationship for billing disputes, refunds, and chargebacks is governed by Dodo Payments' own terms in addition to these Terms.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.
- Refunds are provided at our discretion, except where required by applicable law. To request a refund, contact us using the details in Section 15.
- If a payment fails, your account may enter a grace period (currently 7 days) during which your existing plan remains active before being downgraded to the Free tier.
- We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of a paid plan after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to process or generate documentation for any repository you do not have the legal right to access or analyze.
- Attempt to circumvent usage quotas, rate limits, or plan-based restrictions through technical means.
- Use the Service to generate misleading, defamatory, or unlawful content.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service itself, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service outside of its intended API or interface, without our prior written consent.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, at our discretion.
9. Intellectual Property
- Your content: You retain all rights to your source code and any documentation generated from it. By using the Service, you grant Docloom a limited, non-exclusive license to process your repository content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
- Our content: The Docloom name, logo, website design, and underlying software (excluding your code and generated documentation) are the property of Docloom and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service itself without our prior written permission.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on and integrates with third-party services, including GitHub, Anthropic (Claude API), Dodo Payments, and Cloudflare. Your use of the Service is also subject to the applicable terms of service and privacy policies of these third parties. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services, though we will make reasonable efforts to maintain integrations that function correctly.
11. Service Availability
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend or restrict access to the Service for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our reasonable control (including third-party outages), without liability for any resulting downtime.
12. Termination
- You may terminate your account at any time by disconnecting all repositories and requesting account deletion.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or if required to do so by law.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.
13. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT GENERATED DOCUMENTATION WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DOCLOOM AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL DOCLOOM'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO DOCLOOM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Docloom, its founder, and any affiliated parties from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights, in connection with any repository you connect to the Service.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Uttar Pradesh, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising under these Terms, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
19. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any End User License Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Docloom regarding your use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements.
